PLEASE NOTE: Maungaraeeda is an alcohol, drug, chemical and smoke free property. Please respect this and do not bring any of those substances onto the property. As Maungaraeeda is aiming for a closed cycle, it will not be able to handle a great influx of toxic materials. Please only bring natural sunscreens and other cosmetics and biodegradable soaps etc. If you smoke cigarettes, we will make buckets with sand available on the road side for disposal of cigarettes. We ask that you only smoke where the buckets are.

Wash facilities and toilets will be very primitive.

Animal systems, composting systems, water management systems and energy production systems and much more are shown and explained.

Black Ant Gourmet is the local catering solution from Kin Kin. They make incredibly tasty and wholesome meals at the Kin Kin General Store, mostly with locally sourced and/or grown produce. The local Mayan Farm supplies much of the meat used for the meals. For CelebrATE, Black Ant Gourmet will be using food produced at Maungaraeeda, home of the Permaculture Research Institute Sunshine Coast Inc. All meals are cooked from scratch, with no preservatives, flavours, colours or other nasties added. We have a choice of Meat and Vegetarian meals, which needs to be specified when booking. Tea, coffee and some cool drinks are also supplied, and morning and afternoon snacks. Filtered drinking water is available.

Food is served on biodegradable plates and with wooden cutlery, which will be composted on the property.
