Tom Kendall from the Permaculture Research Institute Sunshine Coast talks about his plans for the swimming pond which was dug 2 years ago. Support species are establishing growth, but after a big rain it is time to do some chopping and dropping and encouraging the growth of other species by creating a forest floor.

On the 26th of January we started another Permaculture Design Certificate course here at the Permaculture Research Institute Sunshine Coast. This article is to give you more of an idea how our PDC is run and what we do.
Jesse Leavitt and Wynton Wizinowich join Tom Kendall from the Permaculture Research Institute Sunshine Coast to teach a Permaculture Design Certificate accompanied by 3 days of practical experience on the beautiful Big Island in Hawaii. Tom’s hands-on lifelong agriculture experience and his passionate delivery of content will be combined with Jesse and Wynton’s Permaculture Aid experience in this 15 day submergence into Permaculture. We were invited to come to Vanuatu in August, to go to 2 small villages and conduct workshops, do a consult on a property and to talk to government and NGO officials in relation to setting up an ongoing Permaculture project in Vanuatu. Continue reading
